TRAINING OPTIONS
CSD has a series of training modules that explore different
elements of working in or for community. Further information and registration
forms for each course are available on PDF via the link on the title
of each course.
Training available includes:
- ‘CULTURALLY SPEAKING’ 2 Day Public Workshop
Towards a culturally sensitive, vigorous and productive cross cultural
engagement.
Today more than ever, effective intercultural awareness and cross
cultural communication skills are fundamental to the success of projects
and programs working with Aboriginal people and communities.
- Developing
Community, Capacity and Spirit
This workshop provides a simple and powerful framework
for working with and in communities. Participants often find
that
it brings both clarity and renewed energy to their work.
- Paying Attention the art of mindfulness at work
In CSD’s training in ‘Developing Community, Capacity,
and Spirit’, great emphasis is placed on ‘paying attention’. But,
in the busy-ness of our working life this ‘paying attention’ can
be difficult to do. We have therefore joined with Lifebalance Consulting
to offer this new workshop on ‘Mindfulness’ the
art of genuinely paying attention.
- Facilitating
Meetings from 3 300
Meetings from the smallest staff or team meeting to the largest
public meeting - can be a frustrating waste of everyone’s time, or
a powerful tool for moving forward. Success depends on good design
and facilitation. This workshop will give you clarity and confidence
in making meetings and workshops as effective as possible.
- Toward Partnership
with Aboriginal People
This
workshop (in partnership with Kim Bridge, Noel Nannup and Sandra
Hill) explores how we, as non-Aboriginal people can build
better relationships with Aboriginal people.
All of these courses can be made available to
your organisation for a lump sum. In addition, we are happy to work
with
you to clarify training needs and provide 'tailor made' workshops for
your
agency.
